Dad was born at Maitland Bridge, Queens Co NS - March 31 1914 He passed away at Queens General Hospital, Queens Co NS. - Nov 01 1977.

My father joined the CBH in 1941 and went overseas with them' and fought through Italy and at Delfzile. He was wounded in his left thigh at Coriano Ridge by mortar sharpnel.

During the late 1970's I was a memeber of 1 Fd Regiment RCA(M). At that time we took part in an exercise in the Sydney area and we spent a night bunked down in the officers mess at Victoria Park.

At the time I wasn't aware of the signifigance of the Oak Eagle that is in the officers mess. Someday I hope to return there & see it again. I lived most of my life in Liverpool Queens Co. and currently reside in Canning, Kings Co. in the Annapolis VAlley.
