Daniel Rose C.D. - 76

Daniel Rose C.D., 76, of Kings Road passed away Sunday. Nov. 5, 2000, at the Cane Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Little Bras d'Or, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth (Butt) Rose.

He worked for Cape Breton Dairyman and Scotsburn Group from 1947 to 1989. He was a veteran of the Second World War having served in France, Germany, and Italy. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 151. Howie Centre.

Daniel is survived by a daughter, Gail Costello, Westmount; two sons, Daniel (Brenda), Yarmouth and Robert (Ruth), Truro; 11 grandchildren; and his companion, Margaret Branle. Also surviving is his sister, Dorcas Bagnell, Coxheath; and a brother, Robert of England; many nieces and nephews.

Daniel was predeceased by his wife, the former Jessie Guy; two sons, Terry and Clarence; two sisters, Gladys and Blanche; two brothers, James and Clarence.
