It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our dear father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, Duncan N. ‘Bunny’ Osborne on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007 at his home 48 South St., Glace Bay.

Born in New Campbelton, Bunny was the son of the late Anne (Collins) and George A Osborne. Bunny was A painter for many years and owned and operated Ideal Painting Contactors.

Bunny served with the Canadian Army in the Second World War, serving with the Cape Breton Highlanders, and was a member of the Army and Navy and Force Veterans Unit 246, Branch # 3 Legion, and the Sergeants Mess Association.

Bunny is survived by his three sons, Bill (Jeanette), Calvin (Lisa), Gary (Shirley) and his late companion’s daughter, Wendy Campbell, all of Glace Bay. Five grandchildren, Cori Penney, Christy Osborne, Josh Osborne, Brandon Osborne, Anthony Osborne. Two greatgrandchildren, Kyla and Ethan Penney and one sister, Rose McKinnon, Halifax.

Besides his parents, Bunny was also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Brooks) Osborne and his companion, Marie McCumber; four brothers, Albert, Silvey, Gordon and Earl. We would like to say a special thank you to Terri MacIntyre who was Bunny's care worker. She went above and beyond the call of duty and he loved her dearly.
