Norman MacIntyre - 88

We regret to announce the passing of Normie Maclntyre of 141 Forest St., which occurred Wednsday, May 16, 2007, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex, following a long illness.

Norman was born in Glace Bay, a son of the Late James and Sarah (Maclsaac) Niacin tyre.

In his younger years, he played rugby and softball for Caledonia.

He worked in Caledonia Colliery until enlisting in the Canadian Army. He served overseas with the Cape Breton Highlanders in Italy and :Holland. Following the war, Normie worked at the Point Edward Naval Base until his retirement

He was predeceased by his wife, Rita MacIntyre, his brother, Donald and sister, Mae (Steve) Thomas.

Normie is survived by his daughter, Norma, at home; his sister, Kay (Joe, deceased) Currie; nieces and nephews, Gerald and Sally Thomas, Morah, Lorne and Marie Currie; and his special friend, Bill Gould.
