Ralph Strickland - 82 North Sydney

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of well known resident Ralph Strickland, Meech Avenue, North Sydney, Sunday, April 1, 2007, at the Northside General Hospital.

Born in North Sydney, he was the son of' the late George William and Martha Ellen (Rogers) Strickland.

Ralph was a veteran of' the Second World War, serving overseas with the Cape Breton Highlanders.

He worked for many years as zone manager, with Nova Scotia Power until his retirement.
He was a member of the Northern Yacht Club, an avid card player, and was a well-known H lobster fisherman.

He enjoyed his time spent in Neil's Harbour at his summer home.
Ralph was very caring and kind man who loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his n wife, Vera (Tobin) o Strickland; his son, Ralph (Carol) and his daughter, Mary (Brendon); his four grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly Brendon, Damiean. Billy and Shelly, and also his three great-grandchildren, Logan, Lawson and Madison, whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Philips and a brother; Bill Strickland, both of North Sydney.
